‘Stronger Voices’ is a research project focused on better understanding trans people’s interlinking experiences of housing, healthcare, employment, education, and community. The project also puts into practise research methods that upskill and uplift trans communities.
Levelling the Field is a research project that centers Trans People of Colour in Community Led Service Provision and Policy. The project also focuses on the structural inclusivity of the Trans Learning Partnership.
This project supports the Trans Learning Partnership’s partner organisations to understand and improve their data collection practices. This learning is then used to create best practice guidance for other organisations. Through using the data collected by the partnership a Trans Poverty Index is being created. This index aims to unravel our understandings around the relationship between the LGBTQ+ community and poverty. Using the Index of Multiple Deprivation the MVE group firmly places queer issues onto the poverty agenda.
The Trans People of Colour Anthology project aims to put the findings from Levelling the Field into action by creating an anthology of short stories written by and for Trans People of Colour.
